About Hermia and Tree of Doom

Hermia is, at the time of writing, a level 80 Restoration Druid on the Cenarius server.  While she has always had a love of the Feral tree (and has a Feral Combat offspec tending towards the Bear tanking side of things), she fell in love with healing during Wrath of the Lich King.  She now spends her time frantically flailing her branches in all sorts of end-game content, perhaps not healing ‘by the book’, but doing her best to keep those foolish souls who run with her alive.

Abandoned by her alter-ego Saresa, she is now the main on her server.  She is a member of Reforged, but has also spent a great deal of time raiding with the Arcis guild.  Between them, the two characters have experienced most of the content the game has to offer.  She also does a great deal of pugging… which will surely come out in the blog posts on this very page!

As for me?  Well… I’m just the person behind the keyboard.  In real life, I am a 24 year old high school teacher, tackling her fourth blogging project.  While I am hardly what you could call a veteran gamer, I have played WoW at all levels of the game (very casual in Vanilla, considerably hardcore in BC, and now a comfortable mix of the two in Wrath).  This diversity of gaming experience gives me a different perspective on the game to most other bloggers, often causing a strange and inconsistent attitude towards the game.  I created Tree of Doom as a place to discuss my Druid and her fail healing experiences, and to perhaps springboard some greater things related to the Druid class.

Oh, and the name?  Inspired by that wonderful shape-shifting comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  If she was a man, Hermia would surely be named after Nick Bottom.
